Castle Air’s Brian Spiwak and Josh Cartwright visit a local air conditioning parts distributor in the early days.

Castle Air Conditioning & Heating was founded by Brian Spiwak in 1975. Brian got his start helping his dad at his family’s laundromat business. That expertise turned into Brian learning how to work on and repair commercial and industrial laundry equipment. Mechanically inclined and able to repair almost anything, Brian moved on to appliance repair before he settled on a specialty in HVAC installation, service, and repair in the Houston area.

In 2005, Josh Cartwright joined the team after graduating college and upon a recommendation from a fellow local HVAC contractor. When Brian retired in 2014, Josh purchased the business and began running Castle Air Conditioning and Heating’s day-to-day operations. Josh briefly combined forces with Maxx A/C & Heating in 2018 as the HVAC license holder where he ran a profitable service department based out of Pearland and gained more commercial HVAC experience.

In 2024, Josh resumed operations at Castle A/C & Heating, and he and his crews proudly serve Southwest Houston, Texas and points nearby.
